Robert Shimer, University of Chicago As well as invited plenary and keynote papers from outstanding economists, and refereed contributed papers, the conference featured sessions on the state of the world economy, financial regulation, distortions in global agricultural markets, the Japanese economy, and economic implications of an ageing population. Conference participants were able to participate in laboratory-based experiments. And there was the Australian launch of a major World Bank project on distortions in agricultural markets. |
