(a) To encourage the study of economics and its
application in Australia.
(b) To assist
or participate in the training and
professional development of economists as deemed
appropriate.
(c) To promote the teaching and study of economics in secondary
schools
and colleges and in the training programmes of other professions
and occupations.
(d) To encourage informed public debate of economic
questions.
(e) To co-operate with the Central Council and
other branches of the Economic Society of Australia in the general work
of the Society.
(f) To issue publications and
other matters concerning the interests of members as may be
practicable.
