About us
The Australia and New Zealand Chapter of the
International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) has been
established to better meet the needs of privacy professionals in this
region. The inaugural annual general meeting was held in Sydney in
27 August 2008 to co-incide with our one day conference launch event -
Privacy in a Dramatically Changing Landscape.
This was followed up by our 2nd annual conference in Melbourne on the
14th October 2009 – “Privacy Proofing Your
Organisation”

IAPP International
The International Association of Privacy Professionals
(IAPP) is the world’s largest association of privacy
professionals. Based in York, Maine, U.S.A., the organization represents
over 5,000 members from businesses, governments and academia across 32
countries.
Founded in 2000, the IAPP was established to define,
promote and improve the privacy profession globally. The IAPP is
committed to providing a forum for privacy professionals to share best
practices, track trends, advance privacy management issues, standardize
the designations for privacy professionals, and provide education and
guidance on opportunities in the field of privacy.
